Plant Identification
We are asking for help from horticulturists, garden enthusiasts, landscapers and others who know their plants by botanical name. We are looking for people to help us identify the flowers, shrubs and trees that follow.
These photos will be used to generate a complete plant library for developing a website designed to test your plant identification skills, a database of plant information and a resource site that will allow home landscapers to select and print planting lists based on zones, type and pictures. All of this will be a free website for all to use.
How To Do It
Each plant has two images, an overall view and a close-up. All images are clickable to see a larger picture. For each set of photos there is an orange "i" button (for identify). Click on this button and you will be prompted to login or register with a name and email. Once logged in, you can submit your identification for as many plants as you would like. We will track who is able to identify which plants. The top contributors will be given recognition credit in the software package for technical assistance.
